Reading Week

Children had an entertaining week of story -telling, book reading, class discussions and games during the Reading Week organized in mid October. It was a fun-filled week, and children learnt to get into story-books and enjoy characters and stories. Games were organsied with books and authors as the central theme. The whole week concluded with a grand finale of a fancy dress competition between classes. This year, our fancy dress competition was a little different in that each class enacted' out a character form a particular book. So there were Harry Potter and his friends and teachers from Hogwarts, Robin Hood along with Maid Marian and the evil Duke of Nottingham, Charlie and the Chocolate factory owner Willie Wonka as well as Romeo and Juliet with their parents and warring families! A truly impressive end to an enjoyable week.
